Through campaigns and information, we want to help people overcome challenges to health. Promoting self-care, signposting to services, and helping people access the support they need... its all here. Get in touch if you would like to get involved.
According to National Charity Mind - Mental Health is defined as -
"Mental health is not just the absence of mental disorder. It is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community."
Learning something new can improve our confidence. We recommend setting yourself a task that you will enjoy achieving, such as:
Doing something nice for a friend, or a stranger is not only good for them. Being kind to others helps lower our own stress and anxiety. A smile and a friendly ‘hello’ doesn’t cost anything and makes people feel connected. Small acts of kindness such as helping someone with their shopping or taking time to listen to someone can help both those receiving and those giving to feel good.
